Carvedilol - 6.25 mg or 12.5 mg or 25 mg. Package 30 capsules.
α1- and β- adrenoceptor antagonist, without symptomatic action, antianginal, hypotensive, antioxidant, vasodilating, antiarrhythmic, antiproliferative action.
arterial hypertension;
exertional angina;
chronic cardiac decompensation II-III class according to NYHA, in combination with diuretics, digoxin or inhibitors ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme).
Intake. Dose is selected individually. Arterial hypertension: The first 2 days dose is 6.25 – 12.5 mg 1 time daily in the morning. Maintaining dose 25 mg carvedilol daily. In case of insufficient effect increase the dose to max. 50 mg daily (2 intakes). Exertional angina: Initial dose 12.5 mg 2 times daily during the first 2 days. Maintaining dose 25 mg 2 times daily. In case of insufficient effect increase the dose to max. 50 mg daily (2 intakes). For elderly patients after 70 daily dose is NMT 50 mg. Chronic cardiac decompensation: Initial dose is 6.25 mg 1 time daily during 2 weeks. Under good tolerance increase the dose with an interval of 2 weeks up to 6.25 mg 2 times daily, then 12.5 mg 2 times daily, then 25 mg 2 times daily.
